Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Replacing Bamboo Pen Tips

Recently I had to replace the tips that go into my bamboo pen.  A quick search around the net led me to a few sites that wanted to charge me $20 for a set of 5 plus shipping.  On Wacom's website they have tips for the Intuos at 5 for $5, but none for the Bamboo.... which is what I have.

I called them up and asked to see if the Intous tips would work in my Bamboo pen and realized that they do have Bamboo specific pen tips for sale, they just don't publish the link.  A few minutes later I got an e-mail with the super secretive links and ordered my pen tips.  Five of them for only $5, shipped free via priority mail!

Why they don't publish the link is beyond me, but anyway I don't see the point in not sharing it so here is the info they sent me.  I have a Bamboo Pen & Touch, or the CTH-460.  Don't ask me if these will work in your pen, cause I honestly don't know.  If you have a Pen & touch though, they will work.

Yeah, I have some replacement tips... but how am I supposed to get the old tip out, exactly? I really want it to stop scratching my tablet since it's worn down to a pretty fine point.

You literally pull it out. It comes with this little ring shaped tool, but if all else use your teeth and bite and pull.
